Security Requirements and Strategies for VoIP Multimedia

An understanding of layered communication security strategies is described and how this creates a frame work through which new services can be deployed. The topic is further expanded to explore requirements for securing voice over IP and multimedia applications so they can be used freely without concern for reliability, privacy or quality of service issues. In addition a specific application of security in the university and academic environments is presented.
