Time 09/21/05 01:15PM-02:30PM
The Metadirectories Best Practices white paper, released in October 2002 by NMI (the NSF Middleware Initiative), discussed the set of metadirectory practices needed within higher education identity infrastructures and provided guidelines for the development of middleware infrastructure to meet these needs. Moderated by Brendan Bellina, contributing author and editor of the 2002 white paper, this panel will discuss recent advancements in the area of University-developed software in the metadirectory and provisioning space and where such offerings fit within the larger framework of Internet2 developed software. Panel members will include Walter Hoehn, developer of the Nexus provisioning engine at the University of Memphis, Roland Hedberg, architect of the Open Metadirectory (OM) product and SPOCP at Umea University, Sweden, and Dr. Thomas Barton, architect at the University of Chicago and lead architect for the Internet2 Grouper project.
