Time 04/20/04 10:30AM-11:45AM

Session Abstract

The Abilene backbone with support for advanced networking capabilities like IP multicast and IPv6 has enabled a new generation of collaborative tools and applications. This panel will feature speakers involved in development of learning applications for inside and outside the classroom. Presentations will explore the new capabilities inherent in an advanced network infrastructure and how applications support them; the social, political and technical issues involved in deploying distance learning projects (best practices); and provide a look into the future of collaborative learning in an Internet2-enabled world.
