Building International Collaborations: Develop Tools for Distributed Collections

Using relationships built through Internet2, ResearchChannel and several global partners have started new collaborations for world-wide distribution of high-quality educational content. Join us for discussion on current projects from LARC in Brazil, UPC in Spain, ANF in Korea and AAARNET in Australia that stretch the limits of networking and computing on a world wide scale and that can't be accomplished without the support of international partners. This session will feature discussion of lessons learned in creating live worldwide high quality high bandwidth next generation Internet events (Buddha on the Net). The session will also focus on an emerging projects in distributed storage and serving of collaborative video collections.
Learn how this group shares resources and skills and develops new systems to merge typical computing and advanced applications together into seamless systems.
