While PKI continues to present problems to large-scale infrastructural deployments in higher education, some significant progress is being made in a few key areas. In addition, activities in other areas, is making some PKI uses easier to manage. This session will provide an update on activities within the Federal government, on campuses, the HEBCA, USHER, and discuss some of the ways in which activities such as federations and SAML are leveraging PKI.
