Facilitating Faculty Outreach
Time 10/14/03 03:00PM-04:30PM
Each Internet2 member designates an applications lead, whose role includes outreach to faculty and researchers on his or her campus. This session will present successful practices in communicating with faculty of different disciplines and engaging faculty in teaching, learning, research, and clinical uses of advanced networks. We will discuss what the campus applications lead should know about Internet2 activities (without jargon and acronyms), how to gather and translate requirements and capabilities, and what resources are available to help with those tasks. We will also collect suggestions for ways to increase and improve available resources, such as those found via the Applications web pages, and how we can work together as we support faculty and researchers.
