Tutorial: Applications 201

Time 10/13/03 03:00PM-05:00PM

Session Abstract

Following Internet2 101, this session will provide a more detailed look at the range of activities underway in the advanced applications community. Applications 201 will provide details on leading application communities and related support efforts, working group participation, broad and discipline-specific outreach activities, demonstrations, loaner equipment, funding opportunities, and initiatives such as the Internet2 Commons collaboration services environment. As a faculty member you will learn about opportunities for involvement; as an IT support person you will hear how to facilitate the engagement of faculty and researchers on your campus. There will be plenty of time to ask questions of and interact with Internet2 applications staff and other attendees.
