Session Abstract

This introductory tutorial provides a basic overview of Internet2 technologies, covering basic concepts and terminology in advanced network services, middleware and applications. It will also cover current working group activities and help attendees understand how to engage with various projects and initiatives. An overview and history of research and education networks are also included in the tutorial. The tutorial is open to all Internet2 member representatives and meeting attendees, and those new to Internet2 member meetings and the Internet2 community are particularly encouraged to attend.
