BoF: Multicampus Middleware
Time 05/07/02 11:45AM-01:15PM
Multi-campus systems, such as branches of a state university or a collection of community colleges, have an additional dimension to consider in the design of their middleware. Policies and relationships around common identifiers, directory configuration and search defaults, authoritative data sources, and PKI trust models are some of the middleware aspects that are affected by a campus being part of a multi-campus system In this session, representatives from schools who have begun the process of designing and implementing will continue the discussion about their experiences with both technical and organizational/political issues.
