Cross Disciplinary Remote Instrumentation Discussion

Time 05/06/02 09:00AM-11:00AM

Session Abstract

The Cross Dsiciplinary Remote Instrumentation Discussion will bring together individuals from different fields to share information on the ways in which remote instrumentation is being used. Currently, individuals are implementing field-specific solutions that may be applicable to other fields with slight modifications. From this basis, we hope to identify categories of
technology solutions that can be packaged for use by practitioners, developers and corporate partners. One of the goals of this discussion is to measure the level of interest for a Birds of a Feather(BOF) meeting at the 2002 Fall Member Meeting in hopes of developing an ongoing
working group. An email list will be identified and the participants will be asked to begin considering others who would be interested in
participating in the BOF.
