Advanced Applications: A Multi-Perspective Look at P2P

Session Abstract

This session will present a variety of perspectives on peer-to-peer and
distributed computing. This is a follow-up presentation to the workshop on
Collaborative Computing in Higher Education held in Tempe, AZ in January
2002. The presentation will include a panel of experts in fields related to
peer-to-peer computing including those in resource management who are
investigating and implementing solutions to resource management challenges
on high performance networks, innovators in grid computing, pioneers who
are using technologies related to peer-to-peer to create new solutions. As
part of the presentation there will be a question and answer session to
allow interchange between the panelists and the assembled audience.
