Former Obama Campaign CTO Harper Reed To Keynote 2014 Technology Exchange
Internet2, in collaboration with the Department of Energy’s Energy Sciences Network (ESnet), is proud to announce Harper Reed as the keynote speaker for the 2014 Technology Exchange, to be held Oct. 26-30 at the JW Marriott in Indianapolis. Reed, a transformational technology expert, will address over 500 advanced technology visionaries at the inaugural fall event.
Reed will provide the event’s opening keynote to technical visionaries from the nation’s leading universities and research labs, gathering to collaborate, discuss and debate issues around next generation technologies such as cloud, cybersecurity and advanced networking.
As Chief Technology Officer for President Barack Obama’s 2012 online campaign and "Get Out the Vote" program, Reed engineered perhaps the most sophisticated technological political campaign of all time. Drawing on this and many innovative projects he has undertaken since, Reed will detail his experience pushing boundaries and challenging norms to catalyze technological innovations that create new paradigms and suggest how the nation’s universities and advanced research facilities can do the same to continue their heritage of discoveries and innovations which make much broader global impacts. Reed’s address lays a cornerstone for the inaugural Technology Exchange event, hosted this year by Indiana University.
