Research Methodologies for Vehicle-to-Vehicle Networking and Data Collection

Session Abstract

A key premise of IoT environments is machine-to-machine, device to-device autonomous communications, which offer considerable opportunity to improve speed, visibility and safety of urban electric vehicles while enhancing their ability to serve as data-gathering mechanisms for campus sustainability initiatives and associated sustainability research. Using studies from the existing Innova University Electric Vehicle pilot program involving four Internet2 member campuses, this session will explore their experience in campus-based deployment of electric vehicles, use of eduroam and other security measures, as well as seamless data collection and transmission via Microsoft Azure.
