LARPP and PrivacyLens: Enabling the Attribute-based Lifestyle

Time 10/29/14 09:15AM-10:00AM

Room White River Ballroom D

Session Abstract

LARPP (Lifestyles of the Attribute Rich and Privacy Preserved) and
PrivacyLens, efforts supported by the US Government initiative to develop
an identity ecosystem (nist.gov/nstic), are intended to help complete the
original federated identity vision. PrivacyLens is a next-gen attribute
release and consent management tool being developed by CMU; LARPP is a
collection of avatar institutions that are looking at the substantive
issues in deploying PrivacyLens and in leveraging attributes for new
approaches in accessibility, veterans's support and other areas. This
session will demonstrate PrivacyLens, talk about the internals that
support it (including orchestration, use of metadata, and enterprise IdP
management consoles), and finally provide early lessons from the
institutions engaged in the LARPP work.
