Foundations of Data-Intensive Science: Technology and Practice for High Throughput, Widely Distributed, Data Management and Analysis Systems

Time 10/29/14 08:30AM-09:15AM

Room White River Ballroom B

Session Abstract

This talk will provide some of the context and then discuss topics that experience has shown are essential to address in order to enable large scale “data-intensive” science. And while the experience is largely in the LHC community, many of the lessons learned will likely have to be addressed in similar ways for other science communities that must manage large amounts of data within an international collaboration.
