Session Abstract

As 1:1 computing, BYOD, and video-on-demand are more readily accessible, educators are innovatively transforming teaching and learning by flipping classrooms, creating MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) or utilizing open educational resources (OER). With tools such as video conferencing, video streaming, recording, and social media for collaborating and capturing we are easily able to create our own content. In this session, we will take a look across the U.S. and globally to see best practices. We will hear from the Manhattan School of Music and the University of Illinois as they share best practices in recording, streaming and capturing lectures, tutoring, and content for transforming the classroom and extending existing instructional activities.

Come ready to listen and share as participants engage in an interactive and open discussion in key areas:

• Global trends – Explore how the latest collaboration innovations apply to learning spaces.
• Best practices – Learn how others are harnessing technology in their teaching and learning.
• Impediments – Share your challenges and explore possible solutions with us.
